Reemon Y. Ashoty, DDS

Dr. Reemon Yousif Ashoty (pronounced Ah-SHOW-TEE) is a proud Iraqi American who was born and raised in the heart of Baghdad, Iraq. His residence was on the famous Haifa Street, where, the late American Sniper and SEAL Chris Kyle described the area in his book as being extremely dangerous in 2005 and 2006. Despite the dangers and constant threats related to being a Christian living in Baghdad, he earned his first Dental Degree in 2006 from The University of Baghdad, College of Dentistry. Dr. Ashoty made the most of his opportunities to practice dentistry in the private practice. Unable to continue to live in Iraq under increasing hostility, Dr. Ashoty entered the second chapter in his journey to the United States via Cairo, Egypt where he was again in private practice. Finally in 2009, Dr. Ashoty had the opportunity to complete his journey to the United States.
Dr. Ashoty earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2014 from The prestigious University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry (Go Bruins).
Soon after graduation, Dr. Ashoty returned to Frisco, Texas so that he can spend more time with his family and friends. In March of 2015, Dr. Ashoty became a managing partner of Oak Dental Frisco.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ashoty has always been keen on giving back to the people in need by providing community dental services to the underserved populations. Starting with local community dental clinics, then Texas Mission of Mercy , and finally abroad in Honduras Dental Mission .

2019 was a big year in Dr. Ashoty’s life and career as he was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Reserve with the Dental Company.

Professional involvement keeps Dr. Ashoty engaged in the dental community, as he is a member of the Academy of GP Orthodontics, American Academy of Clear Aligners, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Texas Academy of General Dentistry,  the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry and the  American Dental Association.

On a clinical level, Dr. Ashoty’s focus is to maintain good dental health by focusing on the prevention aspect. Most of the times treating the causing factor is easier and faster than trying to find a fix for the previously anticipated problem. This approach started in 2015 when Dr. Ashoty incorporated Invisalign and orthodontic treatment in his daily practice.

Being a husband and a dad takes most ,if not all, of Dr Ashoty’s time outside the practice . But he still manages to find time to follow major sport events in soccer, basketball and football.
