Dr. Philip Estes and his wife, Jenny, have called Texas their home since moving here in 2009. Together, they have proudly raised their two children here in Frisco and they consider Frisco their home for life. Their daughter attends Reedy High School and their son attends Texas A&M University of Kingsville and is enrolled in R.O.T.C.

Dr. “Phil” Estes began his professional dental career in 1996 when he graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2001 Dr. Estes entered The University of Michigan and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the School of Dentistry. In 2014 Dr. Estes obtained his Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry in Detroit, Michigan and is working to complete his Mastership in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Estes has lived throughout the world while serving in the United States Army for over 14 years. A proudly decorated veteran, Dr. Estes is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. During his service in Mosul and Q-West, Iraq, he earned the Bronze Star Medal for his part in Operation Iraqi Freedom from November 2004 through November 2005. Dr. Estes was a battalion executive Officer and support operations officer for a 1,400 soldier logistical battalion that earned the Meritorious Unit Citation for its gallantry in northern and central Iraq. Dr. Estes currently serves as the Brigade S-3, Chief of Operation for the 176th Medical Brigade in Seagoville, Texas. As such, Dr. Estes is trained and able to respond to emergencies to include natural disasters and domestic terrorism providing for our Homeland Defense. He is proud to do his part to keep us all safe!
Professionally connected, Dr. Estes is a previous President of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry, previous Vice President of the North Texas Dental Society, and a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, and The Texas Academy of General Dentistry. He has also served in the professional fraternities Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society and is a graduate member of Delta Sigma Dental, a scholarly dental fraternity dedicated to excellence in dentistry and keeping abreast of all the latest technological advances while promoting ethical standards of dentistry. In 2015, Dr. Estes received the distinguished New Dentist of the Year award from the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.
Committed to lifelong learning and mentorship, Dr. Estes is a clinical instructor at Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas where he trains dental hygienists. Nothing is more rewarding to Dr. Estes than passing the torch of knowledge to the next generation of dental health professionals.
Dr. Estes volunteers for Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod and conducts dental mission trips to Central America including Honduras, and in the future to Belize and Costa Rica. He also supports Give Kids A Smile, Boys and Girls Club, and Boy Scouting and is interested in serving his community to maximize preventative dental treatment for patients of all backgrounds.
An advocate of early preventative dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in establishing a dental home for infants, toddlers, and adolescents. In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in seeing children as early as 12 months or shortly after eruption of the first tooth. This establishes early intervention, developmental assessment, and parental education to prevent early childhood tooth decay. It also helps to keep parents informed as to the growth, development and proper oral health care of their children.
Committed to affordability, Dr. Estes participates with most major PPO dental insurance plans and offers affordable care for patients without insurance in efforts to meet the needs of the community.
