Philip Norman Ralph Estes, DDS
Dr. Estes is the founding partner of Oak Dental Frisco, PLLC. He is an accomplished General Dentist and Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and former President of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a former New Dentist of the Year for the state of Texas in 2015.
He has two grown children here in Frisco and has served Frisco and the surrounding communities for nine years now! He considers Dallas his home for life. His son Nate will commission in the United States Army from Texas A&M University in Kingsville R.O.T.C program, following in his father’s footsteps while pursuing a career in the military on active duty. His daughter Maddy is the apple of his eye and has plans to go to college in Denton.

Dr. Estes began his professional dental career in 1996 when he graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2001 Dr. Estes entered The University of Michigan and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry.
Dr. Estes has lived throughout the world while serving in the United States Army for over 18 years. A proudly decorated veteran, Dr. Estes is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. During his service in Mosul and Q-West, Iraq, he earned the Bronze Star Medal for his part in Operation Iraqi Freedom III from November 2004 through November 2005. Dr. Estes was a battalion executive Officer and support operations officer for a 1,400 soldier logistical battalion that earned the Meritorious Unit Citation for its gallantry in northern and central Iraq. Dr. Estes currently serves as the Chief Dentist of the 176th Medical Brigade here in Dallas, Texas. As such, Dr. Estes is trained and able to respond to emergencies to include natural disasters and domestic terrorism providing for our Homeland Defense. He is proud to do his part to keep us all safe!
Professionally connected, Dr. Estes is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and North Texas Dental Society. He has served in the Academy of General Dentistry, The Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the Dallas Academy of General. He has also served in the professional fraternities Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society and is a graduate member of Delta Sigma Dental, a scholarly dental fraternity dedicated to excellence in dentistry and keeping abreast of all the latest technological advances while promoting ethical standards in modern dentistry.
Committed to Lifelong learning and mentorship, Dr. Estes is a part-time clinical instructor at Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas where he trains dental hygienists. Nothing is more rewarding to Dr. Estes than passing the torch of knowledge to the next generation of dental health professionals.
Dr. Estes is a mission team volunteer for Christ Smiles Dental Mission and conducts dental mission trips to Central America including Honduras and Mexico. He also supports Give Kids A Smile, Boys and Girls Club, and Boy Scouting is always looking to serve his community to maximize preventative dental treatment for patients of all backgrounds.
An advocate of early preventative dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in establishing a dental home for infants, toddlers, and adolescents. In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in seeing children as early as 12 months or shortly after eruption of the first tooth. This establishes early intervention, developmental assessment, and parental education to prevent early childhood tooth decay. It also helps to keep parents informed as to the growth, development and proper oral health care of their children.
Committed to affordability, Dr. Estes participates with most major PPO dental insurance plans and offers affordable care for patients without insurance in efforts to meet the needs of the community.
